Archiving and Digital Preservation Policy
The Global South Journal of Applied Research (GSJAR) is committed to maintaining reliable access to its published content and preserving the integrity of the scholarly record.
The journal maintains an online archive of published volumes, issues and articles through its Open Journal Systems platform. Published material remains available through stable article and issue records and is included in routine website, database and file backups.
Routine backups support operational recovery but are not equivalent to independent long-term preservation. GSJAR will seek participation in an appropriate recognised preservation service, such as the PKP Preservation Network or another distributed archiving arrangement, when eligibility and technical requirements are satisfied.
The journal will not claim participation in a third-party preservation service until activation has been verified. Once such a service is enabled, its name and status will be stated accurately on this page.
Published articles will ordinarily remain available even when errors require correction. Corrections, expressions of concern and retractions will be linked to the original record so that the history of the publication remains transparent.
If the journal or publisher ceases operation, reasonable efforts will be made to preserve and transfer published content and metadata through an available archival or repository arrangement.
The policy may be updated when the journal activates additional preservation infrastructure or develops new repository, DOI or metadata-deposit arrangements.
