Author Fees and Article Processing Charges Policy

The Global South Journal of Applied Research (GSJAR) is committed to complete transparency regarding author-facing charges.

At present, GSJAR does not charge a submission fee, editorial-processing fee, article processing charge, publication fee, page charge, colour charge, mandatory membership fee or any other compulsory author fee. Authors may submit, revise and publish accepted manuscripts without payment under the current policy.

The absence of a fee does not affect editorial standards. Manuscripts are evaluated solely according to their relevance, originality, methodological quality, ethical compliance, clarity and scholarly or applied contribution.

GSJAR may review its financial model in the future to support editorial administration, platform maintenance, digital preservation, DOI registration, language services, production or related publishing requirements. No fee will be introduced without prior publication of a revised policy on the journal website.

Any future policy will state the exact amount, currency, taxable component where applicable, stage of payment, services covered, refund conditions, waiver arrangements and effective date. Authors whose manuscripts were submitted before the effective date will not ordinarily be charged retrospectively unless they provide informed written agreement.

No editor or reviewer will be informed of an author’s ability or inability to pay when making a scholarly decision. Payment will never guarantee acceptance, favourable review, accelerated publication or indexing.

Optional services, if offered separately in the future, will be clearly distinguished from mandatory publication requirements.
