Open Access Policy
The Global South Journal of Applied Research (GSJAR) is an online-only, peer-reviewed and immediate open-access journal. Published articles are available to readers without subscription, registration, access charge or embargo.
Readers may access, read, download, store, link to and share published material subject to the conditions of the licence attached to the article and any separately identified restrictions applying to third-party content.
GSJAR supports open access because the free availability of research can improve scholarly visibility, knowledge exchange, professional practice, policymaking and public engagement, particularly in regions and institutions where subscription access may be limited.
Authors retain copyright in their articles. By publishing with GSJAR, authors grant the journal the non-exclusive right of first publication and the right to publish, distribute, preserve and identify the final article as the Version of Record.
Open access does not remove the obligation to cite authors, respect copyright, protect confidential information or comply with the applicable Creative Commons licence. Material obtained from third parties may be subject to separate permissions or restrictions, which must be identified within the article.
GSJAR permits lawful indexing, metadata harvesting, repository linking and scholarly discovery of its content. Authors may deposit permitted versions of their work in institutional or subject repositories in accordance with the Copyright and Licensing Policy.
The journal does not impose technological measures designed to prevent legitimate access to published scholarly content. Any temporary interruption caused by maintenance, security or technical failure will be addressed as soon as reasonably possible.
