Corrections Policy

The Global South Journal of Applied Research (GSJAR) will correct published content when an error materially affects accuracy, interpretation, attribution, discoverability or the reliability of part of the article but does not invalidate the work as a whole.

Minor typographical or formatting errors that do not affect meaning may be corrected silently during production before final publication. After publication, substantive changes will ordinarily be documented publicly.

A correction notice will identify the article, describe the error and state the correction clearly. It will be linked electronically to the original article, and the article will be marked or updated in a manner that preserves transparency.

Author-related corrections may address factual errors, omitted acknowledgements, incorrect affiliations, contributor information or other author-supplied content. Publisher corrections may address errors introduced during copyediting, typesetting, metadata creation or production.

Changes to authorship after publication require written explanation and agreement from all affected authors. The journal may seek institutional clarification where the change is disputed or connected to a broader integrity concern.

Corrections will not be used to conceal misconduct or to rewrite an article after publication. Where an error invalidates the main findings or conclusions, retraction may be more appropriate.

Readers and authors may report possible errors to editor@gsjar.org and should identify the article and provide supporting details. The journal will assess the matter and decide whether a correction, clarification, expression of concern, retraction or no action is appropriate.
